Sick Bay

Sick Bay is a safe, comfortable place for students to come if they become unwell or are injured at school.

The Redlands College Sick Bay is a safe, comfortable place for students to come if they become unwell or are injured at school.

The Sick Bay Attendants are all first aid trained, have many years’ experience and will provide the best care for students within their scope of practice.

The sick bay is a temporary place for students to rest while waiting to be collected due to illness or injury. Due to limited space, sick bay requests that if a parent is called to collect their child, that they make their way to the College promptly.

Sick Bay Attendants are not permitted to administer short-term medication unless it is provided in the original packaging, with the student’s name, the dose required and the prescribing doctor on the pharmacist label. We also require the Short Term Medication Authority Form be completed by a parent/guardian and provided to sick bay with the medication.

Middle and Senior School students may bring one or two doses of medication which can be kept on them to self-administer if required.
