Volleyball Australia recently announced Jennifer Tait, Class of 2012, has been chosen to play on the Australian National Team for the 2017 World Grand Prix.

The World Grand Prix begins July 7, with Jennifer and her teammates matched against Mexico, Hungary and Trinidad & Tobago in round one.  They will play Trinidad & Tobago, Cameroon and France in the second week of competition.

Previously playing for the Australian Youth National team, then for Campbell University in the USA, Jennifer recently competed in the Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championships for Australia. Jennifer played in every set, finishing top-3 on the team in either kills or blocks in each contest.

Jennifer has had an exciting 2017 so far... graduating from Campbell University (NCAA division 1) she was selected to compete on the U23 National team and moved to Canberra to join the Volleyball Australia Centre of Excellence. She was then selected to the Senior Volleyroos to compete at the upcoming World Grand Prix.... and in August she’ll be travelling to Austria on her first professional contract with Volleyball Club Tirol.

Jennifer said, "I am extremely excited for this opportunity. It has always been my dream to play with Australia's national team and to be given this opportunity is amazing. "

Campbell University head coach said, "Her preparation and relentless pursuit of her goals are ultimately what got her to this point and will be the foundation of what is hopefully a long and successful career both with the national team and a professional volleyball career."
