Queensland Conservatorium auditions and application update
The Queensland Conservatorium has opened auditions for undergraduate places in its acting, musical theatre and music degrees, commencing in Trimester 1 2020.
Aspiring performers are invited to register for their audition place through the online GriffithPAY service – and apply for their relevant program through QTAC – by Friday 6 September.
Auditions will be held from Monday 30 September to Friday 4 October; prospective applicants must be available to audition during this week.
Specific times and dates will be made available to students two weeks before their audition.

Admission pathway into engineering
Griffith University is offering prospective students an admission pathway into engineering by sitting the Aptitude for Engineering Assessment (AEA) this September. Successful applicants will be offered admission into the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Electronic and Computer Engineering.
The AEA is a two-and-a-half-hour multiple choice test that assesses a candidate’s aptitude to think scientifically, solve quantitative problems, critically analyse information and display interpersonal understanding.
The exam, which costs $150 to sit, is open to both school leavers and mature applicants.
Register by Friday 20 September.

Griffith Honours College
Griffith Honours College gives outstanding undergraduate students – those with an OP of 1-3, or equivalent ATAR or IB result – the chance to enrich their university study through mentoring, professional development, international experiences, leadership roles and community engagement activities.
Beyond the academic benefits, membership to the Griffith Honours College also provides students with the means to improve their employability, expand graduate opportunities and gain a global perspective.
To apply, students must complete the combined Deans’ Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship/Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship application.
Successful applicants for the Deans’ Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship and the Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship are automatically granted membership to the Griffith Honours College.
Apply by Monday 16 December.
