Mr Peachey's Artwork on display in South Brisbane

Wednesday 25 Jul 2018 by Redlands College
Redlands College extends its congratulations to Mr Andrew Peachey (Dean of Arts) for his Dissolve series being accepted as part of the Brisbane City Council's Outdoor Gallery Program. Mr Peachey's works are on display in Fish Lane (Cnr Grey Street) opposite the Queensland Museum. The outdoor display shows photographs of the works on backlit screens, so they are best viewed at night.

The Outdoor Gallery Program has four display areas and the current works that are on display in Fish Lane, King George Square carpark, Hutton Lane and Eagle Lane are in recognition of current Art Teachers who continue to create artworks. The chosen works have come about thanks to the collaboration between Brisbane City Council and Queensland Art Teacher's Association.

The Dissolve series explores rebirth and spirituality. The dissolving body is a metaphor for the dissolving of the past.

Dissolve series will be on display for the next couple of weeks.
