Redlands College is pleased to have achieved eSmart Membership Status.
eSmart Membership is available exclusively to those schools who have achieved eSmart Status and completed the eSmart framework. Being an eSmart Member School helps us to continue to enrich and enhance our eSmart practices and stay on the forefront of online safety.
eSmart Schools is an initiative of The Alannah and Madeline Foundation, a national charity committed to protecting children from violence. The eSmart Schools program helps teachers, students and the whole community embrace the benefits of digital technologies and reduce our exposure to cyberspace risks such as cyberbullying, identity theft and accessing or sending inappropriate images and content.
Redlands began our journey to become eSmart in 2016. Since we first registered with the program, we have developed a range of policies and classroom learning activities and sequences to improve the way our school manages cybersafety, bullying and cyberbullying.
The achievement of eSmart Membership Status highlights our success so far, in promoting a safe digital online environment that encourages each member of our college community: students, parents, staff, volunteers and guests in their smart, safe and responsible use of digital technologies.
Through education and shared responsibility, we can continue to create an eSmart culture that promotes and values the online safety, privacy and wellbeing of each member of our community and beyond.
