MLTAQ Primary School Speech Contest

Tuesday 08 Oct 2019 by Mariana Cedermas

Congratulations to four of our Year 6 students, studying Spanish, who represented the College last Sunday at the Griffith University MLTAQ Multi-Language Speech Contest. This is a wonderful achievement for our students who have only started their Spanish studies this year.

A huge congratulations to Lila Chapman for 5th place; Natasha Wooding and Caitlin Du Plessis for their Highly Commended placements and Mia Sheridan for Participation.

The students had to prepare a speech about themselves, study it and deliver it without palm notes, to a panel of two judges. They were then asked two questions to which they had to respond. They were judged based on their fluency, pronunciation and grammar.

All of our students should be very proud of their achievements – this was a very tough competition with many schools across Brisbane represented.
