Chess Interschool Competitions

Thursday 01 Aug 2019 by Mrs Leisha Bradshaw

Secondary Competition:   Many hard fought and heart stopping battles were won (and lost) and yet our team of three brave souls were triumphant more times than they were defeated.  So much so that Redlands College came third in C Division (out of 24 teams) and John came second overall in C Division.

Primary Competition: The Kitsune team came 10th and Chiba Enu team came 19th out of the 36 teams in C Division.  Well done to Lewis who placed 27th overall in that Division.

Our best place in D Division was Hannah, and Chase in E Division.  Team Nezumi can 20th out of 34 teams in D Division, and Team Saru came 12th out of 24 teams in E Division.

Really good results for us as we are new to competing this year.  It's good to see how useful those end game strategies we have been learning on Thursday afternoons are.
