During the April break a group of ten Year 10 and 11 students participated in a six day kayaking journey as part of the Silver level of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
The group enjoyed good weather and used tide charts, wind forecasts and maps of the area to successfully plan their journey from the Gold Coast back to Cleveland. The group worked well together and made good decisions about the best time to paddle each day. They used the camping skills they had developed last year and improved on their kayaking skills during the journey.
Some highlights of the trip include getting close to wildlife, watching the sunset and surfing the kayaks.
