Beach Volleyball Success

Tuesday 30 Apr 2019 by Volleyball Captains Breanna Monck and Jack deBoer

Last weekend was a great success for the Redlands College community at the QLD Beach Volleyball Schools Cup Tournament. Thirteen eager teams proudly represented Redlands College, commencing their games at 9am on both Sunday and Monday morning at the stunning Coolangatta Beach.

The support from both parents and staff (Mr Hale, Mr Oosterbeek, Mr Council and Mrs Coker) was incredible and us players couldn’t have performed as well as we did without them!

Despite the strong winds, it couldn’t stop Redlands College from receiving a Gold, Silver and Bronze medal across all divisions with many teams coming close to placing in the top 3.

As this carnival was the last beach volleyball competition for the grade 12s, it is safe to say Jack, Ash and I will definitely miss this wonderful opportunity offered at the College. A massive congratulations to all who participated in beach volleyball, Jack and I are very excited to see the younger players grow in their ability for the upcoming tournaments later in the year.
