Year 12 Drama students see Dark Emu

Sunday 23 Sep 2018 by Senior School

This week, the Year 12 Drama students had the opportunity to view Bangarra’s mesmerising production of Dark Emu.

Inspired by Bruce Pascoe’s award-winning book of the same name, Dark Emu explores the vital life force of flora and fauna in a series of dance stories directed by Stephen Page. With long-time Bangarra collaborators Steve Francis (music), Jacob Nash (sets) and Jennifer Irwin (costumes) bringing their impeccable aesthetic to the production, Dark Emu thoroughly captivated and inspired the students.

It was a great opportunity to engage with live Theatre, where students gain appreciation for Physical Theatre and enjoy a thought-provoking experience together.
