Evatt Competition

Year 12 students, Taylor Jewell and Laura Page will be representing Redlands College this Saturday in Brisbane for the preliminary rounds of Evatt which is a Model United Nations Security Council diplomacy competition for students in Years 9-12.
Taylor and Laura will debate, amend, and vote on a prepared resolution from the perspective of the United Kingdom based on the question of organised crime in the energy sector with twelve other nation representatives. The students judged the most effective diplomats proceed to the next round.
Over 2000 students competed in all states and territories of Australia. The top 15 teams from the semi-finals go on to compete in the Queensland State Finals. The top 5 of those teams represent their school and their state at the National Finals in December.
