Sunday 03 Jun 2018 by Senior School

The Year 11 & 12 girls spent two hours in small groups yesterday afternoon being mentored by an industry professional from a multinational company based in either Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Perth and Brisbane. Via video conferencing, the girls learned about 21st century skills required for the workplace.

Students feedback from the session:

“Today’s session was life changing for me. It has made me think about my strengths and what difficulties may be present in the workplace. It was very insightful.”

“My favourite thing was the atmosphere and the opportunity to gain insight from a person (and their perspective) who we wouldn’t otherwise be able to meet with.”

Boys Session

Students comments:

"I didn't really know what I wanted to do in regards to a career. Today gave me a lot of insight into different careers I had never thought about. I now have a lot more direction”.

"I loved hearing the stories from the industry representatives. I felt a lot of burden had been lifted from my shoulders after hearing their stories. I have a lot more guidance and direction as a result of today's session".
