eSafety@Redlands: National Consumer Fraud Awareness Week

Friday 25 May 2018 by eSafety@Redlands
National Scams Awareness Week ran from 21-25 May 2018. The focus this year was on urging Australians to be on the lookout for threat-based impersonation scams by taking a moment to ask ‘is this for real?’

This annual awareness program is run by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). It provides an opportunity to raise public awareness of scam activity and equips us with the knowledge to identify scams and avoid falling victim.

Staysmartonline.gov.au have developed a resource kit to help promote consumer fraud awareness.
