Outdoor Education Update

Redlands College students are working towards their Duke of Edinburgh's Awards. Parents, please read on to see how you can assist your children.


First Aid : All students wishing to participate in a Bronze, Silver or Gold expedition (hike, kayak or sail) MUST provide a copy of their current First Aid and CPR certificates or a Transcript (available by logging on to the USI Student Portal).

Students who have started their Bronze Award this year are participating in First Aid Courses in Terms 1 & 2. These courses are held in the Sports Centre starting at 9am. Students are given a course code to register and complete an online component in the 2 weeks leading up to their course.

Volunteer Opportunities: 
Parents, if you would like to volunteer on any of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award expeditions, please contact outdoored@redlands.qld.edu.au to discuss the opportunities that may be available.

Online Record Book: All students working towards their Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award should be logging their weekly activities on the ORB. 
 

Equipment: Support Crew have contacted us offering to hire equipment for Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. Please see www.adventuresupportcrew.com.au for details. 

 
A reminder that Kathmandu are offering a discount to Redlands College students participating in Outdoor Activities at their Carindale and Fortitude Valley stores from Monday 5 March to Sunday 11 March 2018.
