Position : Director of Performance Music & Events
Sort : 13

In my role as the Director of Performance Music and Events, I bring to bear many years of experience in education and professional performance. Of primary importance is my aspiration to share the gift of music throughout the College community and encourage students to investigate the educative and formative opportunity music offers in the context of both personal development as well as the very important cultural spiritual role music plays in our lives.

After completing undergraduate studies at the University of Adelaide, I undertook postgraduate studies with Professor Wolfgang Meyer at the renowned Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe, Germany, and have recently completed a PhD on the clarinet studies of Alfred Uhl.  Throughout my journey I have had a successful international career that has taken me to all parts of the world performing as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician, and teacher. Previous roles include Professor in Clarinet at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe, Germany, and Senior Lecturer in Woodwind and Head of the School of Music at Monash University in Melbourne.
