MUSIC
Classroom music is offered to students from Years 6 – 9. It is compulsory in Years 6 - 8. The music programme inspires students to become involved with music for fun or for a career, by developing a broad and integrated understanding of music, with a focus on gaining listening, composing and performing skills.
The study of music develops concentration memory, creativity, decision-making, critical analysis, self-esteem and confidence. Music makes a huge contribution to who we are personally, socially and culturally.
CAMPS
Excursions occur throughout the year and provide students with practical experiences that enhance their understanding of the various study topics. Parents are notified by letter of up-coming excursions by the class / form or subject teacher.
Camps provide an excellent opportunity for students to form strong personal bonds and to extend their boundaries with outdoor activities such as abseiling, canoeing etc.
Camps are held at various year levels and are considered to be part of the curriculum.
SPIRITUAL PROGRAMME
All teaching is from a Christian base. The aim is for students to connect with God in every area of their lives. Years 6 - 9 study Bible Studies in which they develop a greater understanding of the Bible, its structure, how to study it, and its application to their lives. Each student has a daily form period with administration matters, devotion and prayer time.
