Redlands College is operated by Redlands Combined Independent College Inc., an association formed by members of the Churches of Christ. Established in February 1988, Redlands College has grown from 91 students to 1280+ students in Prep to Year 12. Four years later, the first Year 12 class was operational, while the school’s renowned Prep programme was introduced in 1999.

Redlands College welcomes families who seek support in raising their children by providing a high standard of education within a Christian environment. The aim of the College is to provide a school with a distinctively Christian emphasis, thus all teaching staff are practising Christians who support the College mission and ethos and contribute to a caring “family” atmosphere. The staff at Redlands College recognise the importance of educating the whole child and our school badge represents the development of spiritual, academic, physical and social attributes and values centred in Christ.

Our Christian faith is fundamental to all aspects of the College, from the units of work we teach, resources used in teaching, to our behaviour policy and the relationships between staff, students and parents.
Redlands College is a co-educational, independent day school in Wellington Point providing quality educational experiences within a Christ-centred environment for students in Prep to Year 12.students in Prep to Year 12.

  FACILITIES
Redlands College prides itself on its modern, state-of-the-art facilities, which are architecturally designed for the Queensland climate. The College has a variety of specialised facilities to meet the needs of Junior, Middle and Senior school students. In addition, a number of larger facilities are shared by the whole school community, including a modern sports centre, 25m heated indoor swimming pool, two ovals, a large resource library, a number of computer labs and an expressive arts building. Recently two new education facilities were completed - a Science Centre and multi-purpose halls. The buildings provide students with the most up to date resources available and is crucial to the College’s forward planning.

  LOCATION AND TRANSPORT
The College is located on an eight hectare site in the beautiful bayside suburb of Wellington Point.  The College benefits from the wonderful bay breezes that come off the surrounding bay.
Redlands College can be accessed by both bus and train. There are a number of buses that service both local and more remote areas, while the Wellington Point train station is a short 10 min walk away.

OSHC
This programme encompasses both Before and After School Care as well as Vacation Care, catering for students from Prep to Year 7.  Students in Prep to Year 6 are required to attend Before School Care and After School Care if they are on school grounds outside normal school hours, 8:00 am – 3:30 pm. This is a matter of safety as no other form of supervision is provided outside these times.
Vacation Care is open to all school-aged children from any school in the surrounding area and thus it is essential to make bookings early so all children may be catered for.  A range of school-based activities plus excursions are included in the programme.

CHAPLAINCY
As a Christian school, the area of pastoral care is very important to us. Our chaplaincy program aims to assist the School community by providing pastoral care and general spiritual, social and emotional comfort to any student.

Utilising the assistance provided by the school chaplaincy program is not compulsory for any student.  However when the Chaplains or Counsellor are taking part in a structured part of the school program all students involved in that class are to attend as they would any other part of the program within Redlands College.

The College has received funding from the Federal Government’s National School Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program since it’s inception. We are delighted that the government sees this sort of support for students as a vital part of their education as students face many issues as they grow up. The funding is used to help with the Chaplaincy at Redlands College.
